Identity in the Face of Infertility Program

This program runs one session a week for 7 weeks.  Each week is dedicated to a topic that re-centres one's identity.  This is a Christian and biblically informed course that runs in group session format for an hour and a half.  A daily devotional will accompany the 7-week program which includes journaling space and homework activities.  It is integral to commit to attending each of the 7 in-person sessions to gain the most out of this program. In-person location will be based in the Kalamunda, WA region.

Week 1
Grief

There are so many components to infertility.  It effects us in all areas of life, and often is associated with death.  Loss of little ones, dreams of the future you had dreamt for yourself, loss of the title mother and father, and can make you question your identity, faith and purpose. This week we start to process all the losses that infertility brings and set a foundation for important work to reestablish our identities.

Week 3
Identity

Over time, infertility can erode who we believe we are, or were meant to be.  We can start to question our purpose and believe lies about ourselves.  By detangling current beliefs about one's self and reestablishing biblical truths, we can center ourselves on who God says we are.

Week 5
Vision

Once we are reconnected to our purpose over an outcome, we can start to dream again, create goals and start to picture and design the kind of life you want for yourself.

Week 7
Testimonies

Our individual stories mean something and our pain may be the light for someone else.  Our testimony does not need to be at the end of the happily ever after to have great impact.

Week 2
Values

Infertility can deplete and drain us mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. By exploring values and re-establishing what is important to you, we can create habits to fill our cups and be the best versions of ourselves.

Week 4
Purpose

We are more than our infertility.  We hold a passion or burden outside of our current circumstances.  Once we can see ourselves in a new light we can rediscover our purpose.  Then acknowledge our purpose is a direction not a destination.

Week 6
Resilience

Through aversity one can bend but doesn't have to break.  When in the middle of being resilient it can hurt, but we get to choose what our pain means.  We can let the pain define us, or we can define it with purpose.  We can choose how we respond and make efforts to move forward one step at a time.
